Question: When do we apply the “one day, one year” time conversion?
November 3, 2008
Question: We learned in Message 7 that in Bible prophecy, time periods expressed in days actually mean years. In Revelation, however, the Millenium is written as “one thousand years” - do we convert that from days to years too? Where else does this become an issue?

Question: Will our pets go with us to Heaven?
Question: Will our beloved pets be allowed to go with us to Heaven? What about dead pets?
Answer: The Bible doesn’t say anything about pets, but we know there will be animals on the Earth made new. We just have to trust that God has the best in store for us.

Question: Where was Jesus before He was born?
November 1, 2008
Question: Where was Jesus before the creation, and where was He from then until He was born?
Answer: While the Bible has little to say about what happened before creation, there are many accounts in the Old Testament where Jesus appeared and guided the prophets of old. They don’t call him by name, but we can match up the Biblical descriptions and be very sure it was Him!

Question: Is Jesus really God?
October 28, 2008
Question: Since Jesus is called the “Son of God” so often, doesn’t that mean He is a created being, and not really God?
Answer: A great many times in the Bible Jesus is referred to as God, both from His own declarations and from prophecies.

Question: Can’t we pick our Sabbath day?
October 26, 2008
The question: Since the Sabbath was made for man to experience God, can’t we just choose any day we want for our Sabbath?
The answer: God instituted His Sabbath on the seventh day of the week, intending it to be a memorial of the Creation and of His love for us. We shouldn’t change His memorial day any more than a husband should change the date of his anniversary.

Question: Why did Jesus have to suffer before dying?
The question: If Jesus had to die for our sins, why did he have to be tortured and crucified? Why couldn’t he just die quickly?
The answer is that in order to pay for our sins, Jesus had to die the most ignominious death possible. In the Old Testament, a man hung on a tree was considered cursed of God, the most separated one could possibly be from Him.

Question: How did Lucifer fall?
October 20, 2008
Pastor Gayle Lasher gives a thorough and Biblical answer to a very interesting question (which hangs on our introduction to evil, “Why Isn’t There Peace?“).
The question: Since Lucifer was created as a covering cherub to serve in the presence of God (a 100% loving environment), and was created perfect, how could he fall and become Satan? The answer lies in a concept called “situationally acquired narcissism” and a quote from Ezekiel 28:17 - “Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor”.
